During the Winter months, Channing Pond is available  for Outdoor Ice Skating.

Parks Staff regularly measure ice surface and once there is a measured depth of 5 or more inches of solid ice, they also maintain the surface whenever possible.

When the pond ice reaches the minimum state recommended depths, Parks & Rec then posts all ice depth info, surface status, hours of access and lighting schedules through the Parks & Recreation option in the Town's Notify Me Center, as well as across all our social media.
