Town seeking content for new Community Newsletter

Town Seal Image

In an effort to expand Dover’s official Town communication channels, we’ve teamed up with Town volunteers in the creation of an electronic newsletter. The goal of this newsletter is to provide residents an easier and consolidated way to receive official Town of Dover news, as well as keep residents up-to-date on all the new and exciting things the Town is doing.

The newsletter will be sent to subscribers of the Town News Flashes via the website. We’ll also have a dedicated website page that will host the newsletter. Once this is established, we will send out information on how to navigate to the website. For now, please encourage everyone to sign up for the Town News Flash here https://www.doverma.gov/list.aspx. Scroll down to News Flash and then directly under that you will find “1 Dover Town News.” Under Method, you can choose to receive alerts by email and/or phone.

Examples of information we are seeking:

● Board/Committee news updates

● Future Board/Committee events

● Important Board/Committee discussion topics/votes that are coming up

● Board/Committee highlights

● New member highlights, vacancies

One of our goals for this newletter is to direct people to the Town's website. If you have any questions about updating your board/committee page, please contact Kate O'Brien at kobrien@doverma.gov 508-785-0032, ext. 229.

We are asking Board and Committee Chairs to send any information they would like communicated via the newsletter to Ruth Townsend at aandrtownsend@yahoo.com. If you have any questions regarding your content or would like to run it past Ruth, feel free to reach out to her.

The first newsletter will go out November 1, 2021. The deadline to get information to Ruth is October 15, 2021. Going forward, the 15th day of each month will be the deadline to submit content. All of this information will be located on the future newsletter page on Dover’s website.

We’re looking forward to working together to expand the Town’s communication efforts!
