- Emergency Management
Emergency Management plans for potential emergency events that might occur in Dover such as major storms. When citizens contact Emergency Management, they provide information regarding status of an emergency as it relates to the Town of Dover; i.e.: lost power, hazardous conditions and unsafe conditions regarding utilities. They will open and maintain emergency shelters for citizens, town workers and emergency crews during storms or other disasters if the need arises and provide food for those in need.
Emergency Management also provides back-up communications capabilities for various town departments in the event of an emergency situation in town.
Emergency Management reports to the Board of Selectmen as well as the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
