The September 29th Special Town Meeting regarding the MBTA Communities Act yielded a YES vote to adopt the proposed update to the zoning bylaw that would allow multi-family housing by right in a specific overlay district location in Town, in compliance with the MBTA Communities Act Requirements. (section 3A, of MGL c. 40A).
🗹 230 voters were IN FAVOR
⌧ 29 voters were IN OPPOSITION
This favorable Town Meeting vote will enable Dover to submit a District Compliance Application to the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities. The application is due by December 31, 2025 in order for Dover to remain eligible for millions of dollars of annual and one-time state grants.
