The Emergency Preparedness Program is required by the State and Federal Government. The Administrative Director of the Board of Health gets ongoing training and certification.
The purpose of the Emergency Preparedness Program is to help the Town of Dover in any flu pandemic, natural disaster, or bio-terrorism attack. In order to prepare for emergencies the Board of Health works with the Department of Public Health, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), many state and federal agencies, along with 34 other towns in the region known as 4a.
