The Fire Department Chief is appointed by the Board of Fire Engineers. The Dover Fire Department is a Call Fire Department. Our fire and emergency medical services personnel are local residents or town employees who respond to emergencies as needed.

- Emergency Management Planning
- Enforce Fire Prevention & Building Codes
- Fire Prevention Inspections
- Fire Prevention Programs
- Fire Suppression
- Forest Warden (Fire Chief)
- Hazardous Material Response
- Issue Permits Required by Code
- Residential and Commercial Plan Review
