
Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Dover Park and Recreation Commission is, as a group, to oversee all operations involved with Dover Parks and Recreation and come to decisions that are in the Towns best interests.
The Park and Recreation Commission will make a commitment to providing the Town of Dover with recreational activities that create a competitive, safe and positive learning experience as well as initiating, managing and implementing new ideas that will preserve the Town's resources and increase the quality of our Parks and Recreation activities.
Responsibilities

There shall be a five-member Park and Recreation Commission elected on a rotating basis of one or two members each year for three-year terms. The Commission shall have jurisdiction over all park lands and public recreation programs within the Town and shall have powers and duties which shall include, but shall not be limited to, those specified in Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 45, Sections 2, 5.
